We have expanded our inventory to include another realistic training pistol for safe use by students in courses.

This firearm is a Glock 37 Gen3 .45GAP (.45 Glock Automatic Pistol, a more rare .45 round than the common .45 Automatic Colt Pistol round). The .45GAP cartridge is the first one Glock has commercially introduced all on its own, and the result is a niche firearm that isn’t as common as Glock 17’s or Glock 22’s.

A full-size pistol, the .45GAP uses the same size frame as the 9mm Parabellum and .40 Smith & Wesson pistols Glock is known for. The slide on this gun is slightly wider than the others to accommodate the larger-diameter bore and bullets.

As our armourers have disabled its striker (firing pin) mechanism, the gun is now safe for use in the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course where it joins a number of other service guns.

This Austrian-made Glock will be used to help educate new students in a safe environment, where with dummy-rounds-only we foster the safest possible learning experience for all students.

The handgun is a great complement to RGSL’s existing arsenal! In particular, this Glock will be used to showcase the patented “safe action system”; visually show students a lack of external controls; display a pronounced slide-lock; and show off how its plastic-frame contrasts with all-steel guns such as the Beretta 92FS trainer pistol.
