Cheaper .22LR “Snap Cap” Dry-Fire Test Cartridges? Drywall Anchors!

Have you ever wished that there were an easier/cheaper way to test dry-fire your .22LR calibre firearms safely? Next time, try using a single drywall anchor.

This video shows us load, lock, chamber and extract our test-cartridge.

Using multiple drywall anchors per magazine tends to jam up, but we were successful with a Henry lever action, a Savage bolt action, and a semi-automatic action (shown here with a Ruger SR-22 with Butler Creek Steel Lips magazine).

The drywall anchors we found the most success with were “Cobra 185M Plastic Screw Anchors” size #4-6, from Lowe’s Canada in Regina, SK.
